Freemed is a freeware copy of Medical Micro Billing to provide medical billing for physicians and billing services. The software is network ready (Novell recommended) and includes paper (HCFA-1500) and electronic (NSF and HCFA-1500) Medicare B and commercial claims, insurance tracking, patient billing receivables, recall system and appointmen scheduling. The National Standard Format for Medicare ECS varies from state to state and the version included may not be accepted in your state.

Uploaded by the author. While the software is categorized as "Freely Distributed", the author does charge for support, warranty and future upgrades, all of which are optional.

Even though this is an MS-DOS based program it will work with Windows. We do recommend that you shut down to DOS to avoid the bug in Windows.

To install, move FREEMED.EXE to its own directory. Then enter SETUP. 
SETUP.EXE will create a directory named \MB and create your data files. 

To run, enter MB at the \MB prompt.
